He was a career Air Force officer, a decorated fighter pilot and retired with the rank of Colonel. Ever stoic and a man of few words, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He joins the only woman he ever loved, Rose Marie whom he missed every day for the past 8 years. He is survived by his three children Mark, Kim and Robby, their spouses and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Messinger's Fountain Hills Mortuary on Feb. 6th at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Kim, our deepest sympathies. You were a great daughter to Roger & your family gave him great joy because he was able to participate in your lives. I know from talking to Roger, it meant a lot to him. Especially, all of the softball games. He was definitely an entertaining character & will be missed.

It is sad to learn of the passing of yet another troop from the 48th Wing (Chaumont, France). I was stationed with Roger over 50 years ago. My sympathies to his family. Bud Boone
