Ronald Camrud Obituary
Grassy Meadows - Ronald Swift Camrud, age 72, of Grassy Meadows, West Virginia, passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division, on Saturday, July 14, 2018.
Born on November 4, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the son of the late Warren B. "Ed" Camrud and Janie Swift Camrud.
Mr. Camrud was a former employee of Honeywell as a computer operator and then joined the insurance industry as an agent. He retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
He had made his home in Grassy Meadows for the past seven years, having moved from Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Camrud enjoyed the California beaches, golfing, outdoor hiking and his cat companions.
Mr. Camrud graduated from West Phoenix High School in 1963 and attended college in Phoenix.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia "Sue" Dulin Camrud; children, Lori Gardner and companion Scott Swern, of Trussville, Alabama, Ronnie Camrud, of Phoenix, Arizona, and James Umber and wife Amanda, of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Lisa Camrud of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Scott Heath, Cayman Gardner, Ethan Camrud and Rachel Umber.
A memorial service will be held at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 PM with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Friends and family may gather together thirty minutes prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

To the Camrud family of Ron, please accept my sincere condolences. When I was a little girl his grandmother Bertha, lived across the street from us on 16th Drive in Phoenix. Ron's father Warren owned Camrud Motors at 19th Avenue & Indian School where my parents took their car for servicing. May he rest in peace.
