Sue and Pat, my heart is completely broken. I am so sorry for your loss! For anyone who knew Sandy it is an excruciating loss. Life takes us all to the places we should be. But that doesn't make losing someone you cherish so much any easier. I always know that as long as all my beloved friends and family are out there waking up with the same sun and falling asleep to the same moon, we will always be there for each other. I will always cherish the memories we have of those crazy high school days but there will always be an an empty space from now on. Take care of yourselves and please know that I am thinking of you!Sincerely,Mark Encinas

Oh Sandy my dear childhood friend. I am so sorry I will miss you as I am sure so many will. I will forever treasure memories of us dancing and tumbling in your living room to Fleetwood Mac. You had the best front walkovers! Your sweet family introduced me to the wonder of pizzelle's and baklava. Always whenever I eat them I think of you. I just told the story the other day to a bunch of middle schoolers of how me and my best friend Sandy used to put on our bathing suits and dance in the monsoon summer rains. And hitting that tennis ball thing in the driveway between our homes and washing everyone's cars for pocket money. Those are treasured memories Thank you for a great childhood Sandy. Thank you thank you. My heart goes out to your family ❤

Sandyland!
I will treasure the many morning laughs and memories we had in the deli! You could and did bring smiles to us all every morning. I have missed your smiling face for so long since you left 60 and now I'll miss it forever. When I was down you always picked my mood up and made my day better. The many things I learned from you and just from being around you I will forever cherish. I wish you could've seen yourself through our eyes and realized what an amazing human being you really were. Until we meet again...I love you girl! Muah! I pray that you will rest peacefully and shine on us all, continuing to bring us happiness and joy with the memories of your presence. I pray that your family will find comfort seeing how many lives you touched and how loved you were by us all.

My Sandy girl - my cousin - my friend. I have so many wonderful memories of growing up with you by my side that despite the immense heartbreak, I've found myself smiling and reminiscing to anyone who would listen over the last week. I remember each and every time we laughed ourselves to tears while lounging by the pool on warm summer days; Each movie and tv show you introduced me to and the countless Cubs games and golf tournaments we sat and watched with Grammy; Marathon phone conversations with our other cousins across the country, cracking jokes and updating one another on life happenings; Hundreds of family meals where the wine and food flowed freely, and we shared stories of life and love, struggles and successes. You were always there when I needed advice and had no one else to turn to - particularly when it came to boys. Hell, you and Susan were crazy enough to take me out driving for the very first time (which of course ended in a meltdown after I ran over a prairie dog). The world is a darker place without your beautiful smile, kind soul, unfailing love and compassion for others and amazing sense of humor. I love you and will miss you always.

I remember when Shi and I had this little photo shoot with you and we were taking all kinds of pictures having you model for your new Facebook profile picture. I remember gossiping and giggling with you in the up stairs living room and you showing Shi and I where all your candy was so we could pig out and watch movies while the adults hung out. You were one of the adults but you were always one of the kids too. My heart hurts, everyone's heart hurts . You always made sure Shi and I knew we were beautiful and loved. Love you Sandy girl best auntie ever xoxo
