The funniest thing happened tonight. Had the TV on in the background; silly, American Idol. Someone was singing Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. I cannot hear that song and not think of all the freakin' pure joy you brought to this planet. I know how you left was not the exit any of us could have imagined. But still here you are, in our hearts and thoughts. Miss you... can't believe another July is coming.

I heard the song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol on the radio today, like I often do,and everytime I hear it, it always, always reminds me of you and Cox and the others who lost their lives on that tragic July day. I shall never forget. The song was played at the conclusion of your funeral service. Very touching and always a forever reminder of Mr. Bowerbank. Rest in Peace and my thoughts are with your family as well in the loss of you in their dailylives.

I was reminded of you today. You were a tough instructor! But, what you taught me stuck with me. And I still think of you from time to time; remembering how fleeting life is. My flying career is now over. I'm proud to say that you played a part in it. Best to your family!....RKP

Had a compulsion to google your name today--you taught me my passion back in 91, now an instructor myself in the U.K. This news is just tragic. Hi Scott,
I just learned about you today. I was reading a letter from your great-grandmother, Emily Bewsher to my aunt Eunice Mason. Eunice was Emily's niece. She mentions your Grandma and your mother, "Sug". I decided to do a little research and your obituary popped up.
Scott, I'm so sad for your family to hear about your accident. You're at peace, but I'm sure they miss you greatly.
Sounds like you lived your dream to it's fullest and I'm happy you were part of my family history research.
Clear skies.

I was on my way home from work today to pick up my daughter for a Dr. appointment. Three choppers were hovering over a situation near the The Pointe at South Mountain. To the entire Bowerbank Family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as we all struggle to cope with this horrible accident. I know the pain and hurt because I feel it everyday. Craig Smith was my big brother. I know you are going thru the same pain that my family is also going thru. They say it gets better with time but I just don't see it. I just wanted all of you to know that you are in my prayers and I know we have alot of angels looking down on us now. They are free.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My family and I extend sincere condolences on the loss of 3TV and ABC 15's crews in the tragic accident of July 27. Our hearts go out to all who cared about them: their immediate and extended families and personal circles of friends and colleagues.
Since I have not lived in the Phoenix metro area for a number of years, I did not know Scott or Jim, nor ABC15's Craig; but I do know people who live in the area and have respected their work (either as viewers or colleagues) and those who have had the honor of calling them friends. I feel fortunate that I got to know Rick Krolak his first few years at KTVK (my last years at the station), and have sweet memories of our connection. During the past few days, via personal tributes, on-air stories and the touching memorial services, I got a very good sense of the spirit and passion the other gentlemen possessed. I also realize what they meant to all whose lives they touched. It would have been an honor to know each one of them. The newest stars make the heavens even brighter.
Wishing peace and healing to everyone...
