Steve McAllister Obituary

Steve R. McAllister. Born in Lewiston, Idaho, on August 13, 1934, Steve
passed away at JC Lincoln Hsp. April 15, 2008. He proudly served in the Army for 20 years in Korea, as a medic in Viet Nam and also in Germany. Upon moving to AZ from Washington
State, Steve worked as a carpenter for Orangewood Retirement Community (now known as The Terraces). He went to work with C & N Roofing, as well as forming his own construction company, SRM Construction. Due to Steve's diligence and help, San Miguel Assisted Living opened in May of 2005. Steve had 6 children: Susan Caldwell and her husband Jimmie; Lorraine Robinson and her husband Phil; Roger McAllister, Reiner McAllister (deceased) and Gerri Waite and her husband, Buddy. Steve had 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Nick, Chris, Josh, and Ruth Kriaris were loved by him. Sergeant Magnificent, his devoted German Shepherd dog, idolized Steve and truly became a member of our family. Survived by his wife, Kate McAllister, he will always be remembered for his gentle, kind ways. Steve will be sorely missed but never forgotten. He can now be reached at his new address, in Heaven, by just thinking of him…Private services will be held on the Rhine River, in Germany.

Mr. McAllister,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army-especially when you were in Vietnam. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepst sympathy.
