Stuart was my neighbor. My Mother & his Mother were friends.
At age 9-14, I sometimes helped him wash & polish his car. I'd ring the doorbell and ask for him; he was always nice and talked with me for a while. I met many of his girlfriends. When Joan entered his life; even as a child, I knew she was 'the one' (intelligence, grace and so much more). Stuart introduced me to his cousin, Alan. to whom I gave my Lionel train set to. In late 2009, I thought of him, researched and phoned him. He was so pleased to hear from me, though he spoke to me like I was a child (I guess that's the image he had of me). I had no idea he was ill. IMO, time took him too soon. My belated, deepest condolences to Joan & Alyse. Stuart will be enshrined in many hearts.

Stuart was my best friend since we were eight years old. We met in the Lowell School yard in Teaneck, NJ. I have mourned for him and miss him terribly.

Joan and Alyse,
Brona and I were in Montreal when we received the news. We were shocked, still are. I had no idea Stuart had been ill and regret that I didn't know about his condition. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call, our deepest sympathies.

Joan, Anne and I just received the shocking news. We were unaware that Stuart was ill. I have such fond memories of both of you both during law school and thereafter. I remember our joyous reunion when we visited you both in Scottsdale. Our deepest sympathy to you and Alyse. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
