R.I.P. MY FRIEND!

December 6, 2013

You will never really be gone from our lives. I have a very big piece of you in my heart and in my home. You were my best friend, and you gave me your "best friend" to care for when you no longer could. You always said, "She lives at the Hilton now". You live on every time I look at her. Oh and by the way, she does miss you too!! All our love, Cheryl and Ebony,(Oh, and Gary too!!) See ya later my bestest friend

There are so many un-answered questions, but one thing we all know for sure is how much you loved your family! I have many great memories and always looked forward to the times you would come visit us in Idaho. Jake and I always said we where going to go to Arizona for a visit but life got busy and the chance always passed by.
We love you Uncle Thad!!!!

I love you so much dad. I will always cherish the moments and memories we've shared. You left us to early, but you will never truly be gone because you live on in all of us. The things you've shared with me, I will carry on and pass down on to my family, sharing your stories and our experiences together. You wont be forgotten. I promise. I love and miss you so much dad.

You were my mentor and my friend. You always believed in me even when I didn't. You made me laugh often and made me discover new levels of temper I didn't know I had. I will always adore you, and will be thankful to you for being the best manager and teacher I ever had.

You were such a wonderful special person in my life, we grew up together in many ways. Your legacy will live on in our children. I see you in their eyes, the way they look, their expressions, mannerisms, the sound of their voices. You will live on through them and be remembered and always loved.

Uncle Thad,

You left us before your time, but know that you have touched everyone you have ever met and the world was a better place with you here. You will be missed greatly, but never forgotten. Hopefully we all will be reunited in heaven someday. And always remember that you can't sell a forty thousand dollar diamond in a K-Mart suit. Love you and miss you.

Thad, you will be missed! Where ever you were, there was sure to be laughter and good cheer. I will cherish the memories. Your brother-in-law, Gary
P.S. Your sister, Susan, wants everyone to remember the summer you broke out Grandma and Granddad's slide projector. The whole gang laughed and carried on for many hours. Even the neighbors got involved. Good times!

Stinkweed,
When you were five, Dad would not let you go down to the creek alone. I would take you fishing if you would clean all the fish. You were really cute sitting up there in the shale rocks with your two cats, one on either side, begging for the fish you pulled out. Sometimes, I would bribe you to weed my two rows of garden and in turn I would help you pick clover for the rabbits. We used to sleep out on the grass in sleeping bags with Twinkle. We spent hours gazing at the stars. In later years, we played a lot of phone tag, but you always had time to talk, even if it was four in the morning. Love you brother, we've shared a lot of love and laughter over the years. I miss you! Find us a good fishing spot on the other side.
Love,
Susie

When I was growing up I had a hard time with my "TH" words. For many many years he was my Uncle Fat. :( As an adult I know this was a horrible name for anyone, but Uncle Thad didn't care. He loved me just the same. We enjoyed many phone calls over the years. I remember one of his visits to Idaho, he wore 2 layers of clothes on and had extra skivvy's in his pocket. He was making a trip to see Great Gma Lois, her health was failing and he wanted to remember her alive. He said it was easier to catch the red eye if you didn't have baggage. Four years ago, he made a visit to Idaho, to hunt with the guys. He made it a point to stop and see me while passing through. We were having Baby shower for Little Miss Willow. It never fazed him that him and Gpa where the only guys at my party. Uncle Thad was all about family, and always made me feel special. He was rough, tough around the edges, tell you like it is kind of guy and loved his family whole heartedly. He will be missed! I Love you Uncle Thad! My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Marti, Travis, Lizbeth, Brianne, Quenton, Maddison, Mylie, and Kyle. You will be forever loved! <3 Love, Tess

There are so many memories that define Uncle Thad in my heart. My favorite family legend is the "Knife to a Gun Fight" story. I will always remember Uncle Thad's philosophy of seeing family now instead of waiting until they pass. Even though we grew up on the other side of the world, Uncle Thad touched our lives in a big way during our short visits. He is dearly missed.
