Troy Buchanan Obituary

Buchanan, Troy Bee
local photographer, died on January 26th at 12:30pm from pancreatic cancer. He passed away in his Chandler home with the two people he loved most - his wife Sheila and his son Alex. He is survived by his brothers Larry and Terry. Troy was 57 and a half. Troy was born in Hobbs New Mexico surrounded by oil derricks. He raised hell until he joined the Marine Corps in 1970 and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged after 4 long years. Troy went to trade school to learn his dream job, a Tool Maker. His true passion was black and white photography which is why he had a dark room in his house. Some of his works, including hand colored photos, can be seen at his website troybuchananphotography.com. He hiked throughout Arizona to find the best shots. Troy was active in the local art community in both Glendale and Chandler. Troy's memory service will be this Saturday, January 30 at 6pm at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ.

Troy had such a big heart full of love for you, Alex, and all around him. I loved him as a brother in law. He will remain in our hearts forever and his photographs will be treasured. The Grand Canyon will always mean so much for me since I was able to share it with you and Troy. I am sorry for our physical loss of Troy but I know in my heart that he is here watching over you and loving you. Sheila, I love you and I will miss Troy so much. I enjoyed hiking with both of you and talking about our future trips together.
