Vernon Lewis "Butch" Heslep

Gilbert - Vernon Lewis "Butch" Heslep, 79, of Gilbert, Arizona, surrounded by family, passed away in his home on December 15, 2017 from brain cancer. He was born May 22, 1938 to Allen and Dorothy (Fizer) Heslep in St. Louis, Missouri.

Vern is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sally, son Steven (Kristi) Heslep, daughter Susan (Greg) Gilbreath, son Richard (Andrea) Heslep, five grandchildren—Jennifer, Lindsay, Cody, Joshua and Luke---and two great grandchildren—Layla and Malia. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Christ Greenfield Lutheran Church, 425 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert, Arizona 85234. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Saving Grace Lutheran Church (building fund), 24414 S. Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142.
