Vicki McCoy Obituary

McCoy, Vicki Gail (Fatout)
67, of Cornville AZ passed away on 6/8/2016, with her family by her bedside, from brain cancer. She was born in Traverse City, Michigan on July 4, 1948 to Eucher Elie and Anne Rose (Vondrasek) Fatout, both from Michigan. In 1954, she moved to Phoenix AZ with her parents. She attended Creighton elementary school, went to North High for 3 years, and graduated in 1966 from Camelback High. She moved to Washington State in 1980, where she graduated from Clark College. On June 21, 1992, she married Matthew C McCoy, a marriage which lasted 24 years, until her death. She had a distinguished career at the US Post Office, becoming Postmaster of La Center WA in 2002 and Postmaster of Washougal WA in 2005. She retired in 2010, when Vicki and Matt moved to Cornville AZ, where Vicki was active in the community. She was much loved and respected as a wife, and venerated as a mother and grandmother. She is missed so much for her enthusiasm and drive. She was an accomplished seamstress, needle worker, and jeweler. She had a strong design sense and remodeled her homes continuously, even though she suffered through several physical ailments in the last 15 years of her life. She was survived by her husband, her mother, and her children Michael Joseph Caldwell, David Shannon Madole, Robert Dirk Howser, and Christopher Elie Fatout. She was also survived by six grandchildren, her sisters Sheri Lee Fatout and Suzi Ann Fatout, and her brother Kip Eucher Fatout. She was pre-deceased by her father. A celebration of her life will be held at New River Bible Chapel, 47402 N 15th Ave, New River, AZ 85087 at 6:00pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to this chapel.
