Wilfred Crane Obituary

Crane, Wilfred Ray
78, of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away on April 10, 2017. Wilfred (Ray) Crane passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017 in Litchfield Park, Arizona with his daughters by his side. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Ray was born in Merced, California in 1938 to Archie and Verna Crane. He joined the Marine Corps in 1956 after graduating high school. He spent his career in sales, which allowed him the opportunity to live in several states, including Hawaii, Missouri and Pennsylvania. Ray thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years in Solera at Johnson Ranch in San Tan Valley, Arizona. He was active in the community, enjoying the singles club, his poker playing buddies, as well as an active member on the activities committee. He also enjoyed exploring Arizona and getting back to Hawaii as often as possible. Ray is survived by his daughters Andrea (Greg) Beard, Elizabeth (Joshua) Williams, and Becky (Kerry) Lane, his brother Keith (Pat) Crane, and nine grandchildren, two nephews and four nieces. As some of Ray's favorite times of his life were spent in Hawaii, a luau to celebrate his life will be held on Friday April 14 at 2:00 at the home of Andrea and Greg Beard, 18934 W Elm St, Litchfield Park, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ.

To the Crane Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
