The Allergen Extract Laboratory at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington DC, would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dr William Kehoe. For decades, we spoke with Dr Kehoe over the phone about his Indian Public Health Service patients. His caring and concern for his allergy patients was always evident. A call from Dr Kehoe about an allergy patient's prescription never ended without a story about a motorcycle mishap or discussion of current events. We will truly miss corresponding with our friend, Dr Kehoe....we will always remember his energy, his spirit and his kindness. Dr Kehoe was a special person.

Dear Philip, Paula and Toni:
My deepest sympathy goes to all of you and your families at this sad time of loss. Bill was a wonderful, kind and an intelligent person. When ever he visited me and Phil on the east coast, we would talk and laugh well into the evening. How he loved boating with us! I found Bill to be caring and supportive of me both as a person and a professional. I had great respect for him and will miss him. My prayers are with you all at this sad time.

My deepest sympathies to the Kehoe family. I have known "Dr. Bill" for a several years. He was a patron of 92nd. Street Cafe when he was in from town between trips to Reno, and I always enjoyed his visits. I would kid him about telling his silly jokes. I would roll my eyes and groan at the punch line. That was the funniest part of the joke for him. He was a nice guy to have around. I will miss him.

Bill Kehoe and I go back to July 1966 when we were both at the Navy Base in Algiers (New Orleans) Louisiana picking up our first PHS uniforms. He was a pharmacy intern and I was a medical intern. He and I experienced some really funny situations on the wards, in the operating room, and in the "Officers Club" on Friday afternoons. Our paths crossed frequently especially during my 6 year assignment to PIMC.
I have not seen him in years because we have moved on but I have not forgotten him and I never will. He made real contributions to medical care and to the enjoyment of being alive.

Dear Toni,
My deepest sympathy to you and yours. I loved Dr. Kehoe as my son, we worked together for many years, and it was a great pleasure. He spoke of you often with such pride and admiration. His love for you was deep, I know the terrible loss you are feeling now. I hope that your heart will take comfort to know that Bill is now with the Lord. The last time we spoke, he shared the relationship the two of you were enjoying with the family. I know the time spent with his son the baseball coach was dear to him. Keep him close in your heart, and you and your family will forever be in my heart and prayers. Good Night Dr. Kehoe.

We both have very good memories of Bill while we were involved in baseball with their son Bill. Had the greatest time eating shrimp with him in Texas when we took, the then young men, there for a tournament in the mid-60's. Enjoyed his company many times after that. Bill & Jim, sorry for your loss. He was a special man.

My deepest sympathy to all of you during your time of sorrow. May your memories of Bill get you through this difficult time. Bill was my boss at the Indian Health Service during the 70's & 80's. Bill was a very unique individual with a heart of gold and he had such a zest for life. I remember the days when he would come into the office wearing his little white shorts and no shirt and have his clothes on a hanger. He rode his motorcycle back then and he was so vain about his tan. During the time that I worked with Bill if the regulations stated you couldn't do something he would always find away around it. His love for his allergy patients was unremarkable. Bill was a proud father he was always bragging about his sons pitching a strikeout game or starting a tree trimming business or his sons growing pains. Later on when he retired and our paths crossed he would brag about his grandkids and being a grandfather. It's hard to imagine life without Bill.
