Steven Sims Obituary
September 29, 1981 - November 22, 2024
Steven (Bobber) Sims, 43, passed away on November 22, 2024 in Cottonwood, AZ. Survivors include his parents, Randy and Debra Sims; uncles, Don and Robert Rhodes (Joni); cousins, Waylone Verser (Naomi), Nathan Rhodes (Kirsty), Corbin Rhodes, Joseph Verser, Cory Rhodes (Erica), Kody Rhodes (Nicole), and Ethan Rhodes. Other cousins include Georgia Black (Jay), Sonja Gorrell (Jake) and Darla Johnson (Darren).
He lived in Flagstaff the first 39 years of his life where he graduated from Coconino High School in 2000. He was a dedicated Boy Scout and became an Eagle Scout with Troop 142 in Doney Park. Steven graduated from MMI (Motorcycle Mechanical Institute) and worked for Grand Canyon Harley for 15 years. He also was initiated, passed and raised as a Master Mason with the Flagstaff Lodge.
Steven will be remembered for his kind heart, witty sense of humor and intelligence. He enjoyed scuba diving, playing golf, bowling and Geocaching.
His Celebration of Life will be held at Dead Horse Park, the 3rd Lagoon at Ramada #5 at 1 p.m. on January 18, 2025. Please bring lawn chairs and beverages, we'll have his favorite foods.
A motorcycle ride to benefit Veterans will be held in the Spring. Donations will go to Wounded Warriors Project.com.
