Ada Mayfield Obituary

Ada Anne Mayfield (Nana)

Services: Mon., July 22, 9 a.m.

Ada Anne Mayfield (Nana) was born in Ipswich, England on February 19, 1926. Ada married John Raymond Mayfield in 1944 and came to the United States in 1946. She and Raymond owned the Foster Freeze on No. Chester until 1973. Later she became a Nanny for several prominent local families. She loved crafts, especially making dolls for family and friends. Nana was great fun to be around and ever so generous.

Survivors are sister, Gladys; niece, Jayne still living in Ipswich; son, John, his wife, Susie; son, Robert, his wife, Kathleen; granddaughter, Jonni, her husband, Brandon; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Sydney, who called her Nana Cookie cause she always had cookies for all. She leaves behind many beloved friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2002 from 12-5 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Monday, July 22, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
