I can't believe it has been a year already.
There are so many things to share, weddings, babies, dedications, graduations and especially the tough things, like the passing of other love ones, that like you, I was not ready to let go of. I miss your guidance, your wisdom, your amazing wit but most of all just enjoying a cup of coffee and having a nice long chat. I know you know. There hasn't been a single occasion that you haven't been thought of and sorely missed. Your body just gave out but your sharp mind never did. I am at peace knowing that you are no longer physically suffering but damn what I wouldn't give for one more visit. Til we meet again. I love you, Dad.

Even as I write this thru tears I have to laugh because I know you would be critiquing my grammer and spelling. Thanks for so many wonderful memories. Love, Kay

I thought it would be easier to write in this guest book after alittle time has passed. It isn't...
I miss my Dad so much, not a day goes by that I don't want to call him just to talk.
Thank you to everyone for writing such wonderful tributes about our Dad, please continue to share your thoughts,
Donna

I worked with Don at the Yucca Mountain Project. His love of life humbled me..his brilliance, his devotion to the common good and the ever lasting love for his family were all traits so rare in our frail society. My sincere sympathy to his wonderful family, you were so lucky to have such a fine man in your life..as he was to have all of you. And I was so lucky to have him as a friend.

Don was a good friend to our family for as long as I can remember. You certainly got the ultimate payback to my Dad, a grandson as a DALLAS COWBOY FAN! How did that happen! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will truly miss you, GREAT AMERICAN HERO.

Greg and I would like to express our deepest sympathy with the passing of Don. It has been a priviledge to have Don as part of our extended family.

Don has raised an extraordinary man in James and we see Don's values, morals and love in James and now in Gregory.

Today we put to rest a legendary human being. My words fall short to explain what an honor it was to know this great man. He was my bestfriend, my hero, and most of all he was my Dad.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Don was a True Patriot. I am blessed and honored that I had the opportunity to work and know Don over the years. If it were not for his leadership, mentorship, and friendship, I would not be in the postion I currently hold with the US Government. He will be truly missed.

Don was a good friend and professional partner. I am so glad that Larry Wilcher, Bob Gleason and I were able to spend time with Don at his 70th birthday party last year. We had a great time remembering the past. Don was a true leader with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all of us.

Pat and family,

I would like to express my sincere sadness with the loss of Mr. Temple. It was my privilege to have known Mr. Temple since the early 1980s. Don was a trusted leader and friend who constantly helped me (and countless others) during my careers with the U.S. Army and the Department of Energy. I will always remember his kindness, demeanor, integrity, devotion to duty, wisdom and his unique and infectious smile. Mr. Temple was the man that many of us would like to emulate.

Please know that Don’s Army and Department of Energy families also grieve with you.

Dear Pat and family,
It was a great honor to meet such a nice man. It was very uplifting to help in the care of Alert for the last several years. Thank you for having confidence in us and letting us participate in his healthcare. He always made us smile when he came in our office. He never complained. Pat you where very caring to Albert and I'm sure you have lots of good memories to help you though. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family. love and prayer Kay Stranberg

Don was truly one of the "band of brothers" and was both a friend and a valued colleague over a number of years. His humor and professionalism will be missed, but he has left a legacy in the people and programs he touched and helped. He will be missed greatly

Although I only met Don a few times, he always had time for a fellow soldier. His contributions to the Army program have benefited many over the years. Rest in Peace Don, you will be missed by many.

It was an honor and pleasure to have known Don and to have been mentored by one of the great technicians of this community. I can remember Don telling me not to "hurt any of the USAF techs at Phase III". He had such a great sense of humor and our prayers go out to his family. God Bless you all.

Don, as we get older, we don't see each other as often, but always remember the best, and your passing leaves another hole in that small group of "miracle" workers who waved the "wand" and said, "Yes sir, its done!  BTW, hope you did not try to buy a new car off the TDY for this trip, as I think, in your case -- it will all be taken care of.  Be Bold & With God.  JHC

Don was a mentor to me and provided me with much insight to what takes to be a really good tech. I will miss his smiling face, sense of humor, and his just being there. God Bless

Pat

Do not grieve! Misfortunes happpen to the wisest and best of men. Death will come and always out of season. It is the command of the Great Spirit that all nations and people must obey. What is past and can not be prevented should not be grieved for .... Misfortunes do not flourish
particularly in our path. They grow everywhere. Big Elk - Omaha

In my conversation with your mother yesterday I said it all. Maybe not as elequent as others, but one of my great American heros has fallen and I weep.

Pat and Family, when we saw each other at Don's Birthday, it was a time I will not forget and think Don had a great time. He was a close "friend" and will miss our conversations. He is in a better place and will see him in the future.

I never had the privilege of working directly for or with Mr Temple, but I am product of the great program he established in the Army. It saddens me to see another Cold Warrior do that last duffle bag drag, but I know he is in a better peace. Rest in peace my fellow soldier.

Pat,
Memories keep those we love close to us forever:
Hold fast to your memories, to all of the cherished moments of the past
to the blessings and the laughter, the joys and the celebrations' the sorrow and the tears. They all add up to a treasure of fond yesterdays that you shared and spent together, and they keep the one you loved close to you in spirit and thought. The special moments and memories in your life will never change. He will always be in your heart, today and forevermore.
Wish we could be there with you,
We love you
