Faustino Leos Obituary

Faustino (Tino) Leos 2/15/1910 10/2/2005 Faustino (Tino) Leos was born in San Fernando, CA, on February 15, 1910. He passed away peacefully in Bakersfield, CA on October 2, 2005. Dad grew up in La Union, New Mexico, the third child of five born to Inocente Leos and Guadalupe Borunda. As a very young man, Dad traveled back to California for adventure and to explore the land where he was born. Dad ended up settling in Hanford, CA, where he met and married our mom, Elena Rios, together they raised 4 children. They resided in Kings County for 18 years and was a resident of Kern County for 55 years. When his father passed away in New Mexico, his goal was to move his mother, 3 sisters and 1 brother to California, he was able to accomplish that goal. Dad loved living in Kern County because of all the agriculture and friendly people. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Elena; his parents; his sisters, Adelina and Concepcion; son, Lou Leos; daughter, Delia Hernandez; and his son-in-law, Carlos Rivera. He leaves behind his sister, Marcos Romero; brother, Frank Leos; daughter, Dora Guerra and Carlos Guerra; son, Richard R. Leos; granddaughters, Veronica and Robert Guzman, Shelley, Monica, Debbie, Becky, Stephanie, Elaine and Sara; grandsons, Victor and Vincent Rivera, Arthur, Michael and Sergio Hernandez, Frank, Richard, Sammy and Eddie Leos; numerous great-grandchildren (especially his special mija Gaby); nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Chris L. Anguiano who visited Dad often during his last months of life. We love Dad very much and will miss him and all the stories of the past that taught us lots of wisdom, we will cherish and celebrate all the memories. Because Dad loved the simple life so much he wanted everyone to be happy and to keep our praying time private, there will be no services. His family would like to thank everyone that cared for him at Pleasant Care Convalescent Hospital for making his last days more comfortable. Legacy.com
