Jack Calvin Leroy Beggs was born July 13, 1925, in Muleshoe, TX. Preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Ethel Emmila Beggs; sister, Alice Martin; and brothers, Archie, Lester, Edward and Arlie Beggs; daughter, Janice Beggs, Son, Glenn Beggs and grandson; Joshua Beggs.
Jack is survived by his longtime companion, Anges McGehee of Bakersfield, CA; brothers, Eugene Beggs of San Leandro, CA, Lindberg Beggs of Mineral, VA and Conrad Beggs of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Kathleen Beggs of Thousand Oaks, CA, Pamela DeShazer and her husband, Jesse of Bakersfield, CA, Evelyn DeLong and her companion, Charlie Deter of Roswell, NM; son, Barry Beggs and his wife, Cindy of West Valley City, UT; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy Seals in WWII. Jack had a varied career after the Navy. He owned and operated several businesses over his lifetime. He will be missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Hoffmann Hospice and Rosewood Care Center in Daddys last days.
Chapel services for Jack will be held at Kern River Family Mortuary Chapel, 190 N. Chester Avenue on April 2, 2004, at 11:00 a.m.
