Karla Butler Everett March 17, 1951 - October 2, 2012 Karla passed away peacefully October 2, 2012. Born March 17, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas, she went on to live and work in Alaska and California's Imperial Valley before settling in Bakersfield. She is preceded in death by her father Bueman and brother Kevin, and is survived by her husband Calvin, mother Ann, brother Keith, sister Kanda, children Gina and Sam, stepchildren Wanda, Scott, and Jennifer, sons-in-law Phil, Chris, and Jim, grandchildren Jake, Elizabeth, Vincent, and Andrew, great-grandson Daniel, many cousins, nieces, and a nephew. She had a passion for genealogy and photography, and lived boldly--a committed daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and Democrat. www.bakersfield.com/obits

Karla was very special-- she and her family was an answer to my prayers for my son Gary. I thank God for her. Definitely her living was not in vain. She shed much light into dark places. Because of God' grace-- Jesus' life-- for her's, I now believe she's experiencing paradise.
