Kyle Lundy Obituary

KYLE DAVID LUNDY

1983 - 2022

Kyle and his twin brother Kevin were born to Ron and Jan Lundy on July 27, 1983. They began playing soccer at an early age in the back yard, inspired by their big sister, Dena. They played a variety of sports but decided that soccer was THE ONE. Kyle played club soccer and then played for Bakersfield High School. He was named All-Area Player among other accolades. He graduated from BHS in 2002 and then played soccer at Cal State University Bakersfield. He graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2019.

During college he began to coach youth soccer and then became a successful coach for several clubs in town, most recently for Albion Central. His gift was working with kids. He had the ability to make them feel special, and each child was important to him. He was a kind, patient and caring man who loved the game of soccer and the development of young players.

Kyle is survived by his son, Gavin, his twin brother Kevin, sister Dena Durante, parents Ron and Jan Lundy, Uncle Jim and Aunt Charlotte Burror, Uncle John and Aunt Sharon Eyraud, Uncle Les Eyraud, Uncle David Lundy and Darrel Lundy and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 30, 5:30 PM, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4500 Buena Vista Rd.
