Madeline Dorothy Andrada April 22, 1923 - June 01, 2013 On Saturday, June 1, 2013 the Creator took into his arms the tired and sick body of Madeline Andrada. She was 90 years old. Madeline was born and raised in Bakersfield til 1968 when she and her husband moved to Rio Linda/Elverta where they raised their family. In 2003 she returned to Bakersfield. Madeline was a WII "Rosie the Riveter." She is preceded in death by two husbands, Manuel Valdez in 1947 and Lawrence Andrada in 1993; 2 granddaughters; 1 great grandson; her parents; and five brothers. She leaves behind a sister Barbara Marquez and a legacy of 4 generations which include two daughters Elaine Garcia and Theresa Balderston; three sons Ted, Jessie, and Joseph Andrada; two son-in-law Danny Garcia and Leon Balderston; and 2 daughter-in-laws Anita and Misty Andrada; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 22 great great grandchildren. She raised three grandchildren Brian and Niki Bratcher and Kira Jennings and numerous nieces and nephews. Madeline died in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be June 17th. at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church on Baker followed by graveside services ar Union Cemetery and back to St. Josephs for a family gathering. The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice for their kind and very caring service. She will be missed but not forgotten. Until we are together again. We love you.
