Michael Dolak Obituary

Michael Paul, born in Bakersfield, California; son of Michael Paul Sr. and Beatrice Dolak. He was the pride and joy of their life.
Raised here, Mike attended Foothill High, and graduated from Garces Memorial High. Football was Mike's passion, He played all thru high school, later at Bakersfield College, and then for the University of Nevada,Reno. He also was a Garces Ram booster, teacher and football coach. He was a loyal Raiders fan, known to his friends as "Raider Mike".
Mike attended C.S.U. Bakersfield, U.C. Santa Barbara, and C.S.U. San Jose; earning two B.S. degrees; Chemical Engineering and Accounting; and a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
Mike worked for Communications & Power Industries as a Senior Materials and Process Engineer. He previously worked at Ford Aerospace, as a Advance Materials Engineer.
Mike also taught and coached in Woodland and Sacramento, California; teaching Math and Physical Education, and coaching football and track. He also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Mike passed away in Silver Springs, Maryland at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his father and mother; his grandparents: Al and Teresa Martinez, Joseph and Annie Dolak; and his uncle Stan Martinez. He is survived by his Aunt Midge (Madeline Martinez), numerous cousins, and many friends.
A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 124 Columbus St. Bakersfield, Monday, December 8th, at 10:00am. Interment to follow at North Kern Cemetery in Delano.
