Michael McFarland Memoriam

In Loving Memory of Michael Braden McFarland August 19, 1953 - May 28, 2012 Michael is survived by his mother Margot McFarland, father Gerald McFarland (Stephanie), daughter Nicole, brothers Steve (Pam) and Kelly (Julia), sisters Lisa Farnsworth (John) and Brenda Dudek (Michael), numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved grandsons John "Johnny" Michael Smith and Adam Armstrong. Michael was known for his loving, kind, empathetic and generous nature. Michael was hysterically funny and would be the first to laugh at his own jokes with his big, contagious, unforgettable laugh. Michael also had the unique ability to see the good in everybody he met and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. Michael's favorite thing to do was spend time with his dear grandson and best friend, Johnny. A memorial service will be held at Laurelglen Bible Church, 2801 Ashe Rd, Bakersfield, CA on Saturday, June 16th, at 10:30 a.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits

Michael devoted his life to helping others. I remember, him sitting there with his bean and cheese burrito, and he timidly looked up, his baby blue eyes sparkling, and the light of love in his heart would illuminate my mind.

We will miss mike dearly. I still cant believe this is true. I look at your picture and think no its not true Johnny needs his papa. We will all miss you and will keep your traditions going with Johnny. You will never be far away from our heats.
