RUDY H. ARAMBULA, SR.

April 15, 1933 September 3, 2022

Born in San Angelo, Texas the 2nd son to Natividad Rocha (Steve) Arambula and Paula Villa Hinojos. Brother to Richard Arambula, Raymond, Irene, and John DelaCruz.

Rudy moved to California at 11 years old with his mom, Paula. He attended 22 schools during the migration to CA. Rudy graduated from Bakersfield High School and then Bakersfield College.

Rudy married Bertha Morin in 1949, and they had 3 children sons, Rudy Jr., Steve, and daughter Cynthia. Followed by 7 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Rudy worked for Trans Ocean Airlines, Lockheed Aircraft Company and Bakersfield Hydraulic Jack Company before opening his own business - R.S.C. Air-Draulics Sales & Service, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA. Rudy owned and operated Air Draulics Sales & Service, conducting 50 years of business throughout Bakersfield, Kern County and various parts of CA. Rudy was highly respected for his expert knowledge and many years of hydraulic, pneumatic and engineering experience.

Rudy also served in the Kern County community by being part of the following:

Bakersfield Police Reserves, Boy Scouts of America - Troop 8, Scout Master, a life member to the Knights of Columbus & Faithful Navigator, served as San Clemente Mission Auxiliary President and Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue Pilot to the US Air Force. Rudy was a mission Pilot to LIGA flying Medical Doctors to Baja Mexico Mainland. He was also a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis member of South Bakersfield (serving the West Coast CA and Nevada) and a life Member to Eagles F.O.B. 93.

Rudy spent his last 9 years with his companion Barbara Gaitan.

Rudy's hobbies consisted of, flying his own aircraft, listening to Big Band music, big game hunting, deep sea fishing, camping and the great outdoors, restoring his 1936 Oldsmobile and making balse wood model airplanes.

A Rosary and viewing will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm. at Basham Funeral Home on Niles in East Bakersfield. A Mass will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at San Clemente Church on Berger St. at 11:00 am, followed by a Burial at Historic Union Cemetery on Potomac.

Sincere condolences to the entire family. Rudy was a very good man and respected by all. He helped me personally in 1975 by giving me a good job when I needed a break. I am forever grateful for his friendship and teaching. Rest In Peace, Rudy.

My condolences to Rudy's Family and friends, he was such a nice guy. Rudy was always so knowledgeable and helpful when I went to him for hydraulics parts or information. RIP Rudy.
