Walter Pascoe Obituary
March 18, 1938 – April 8, 2024
Walter Frazier Pascoe was born on March 18, 1938 to Evelyn Gillette and Frazier Pascoe in Bakersfield, CA. He passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024 in Bakersfield, CA.
He was preceded in death by Lester and Oda Floy Pascoe, Lawerence and Mable Gillette.
His younger years were spent at the Pascoe Ranch in Glennville, CA, where he helped his grandparents, Lester and Oda Floy Pascoe with their cattle and pig operation.
He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1955, where he met Edith Eyraud. They married in 1960.
He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard, stationed on Anacapa Island for 2 years.
In 1966, he graduated from the CHP Academy and served as a CA Highway Patrolman for over 20 years. He earned an Associate degree in Science from Rio Hondo College in 1970.
The family moved to Glennville, CA in 1973 to the Pascoe Ranch. It was there that many fond memories of him and the family will be treasured forever. He remained at the ranch and raised cattle for the remainder of his life.
In 1975, he co-produced and recorded a country western album at Buck Owens Studio, with the assistance of co-producers Virgie Arden and Wilson Call. This was a magical moment for him and his family. His album can still be found on the internet to this day.
He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved playing music for all. He also enjoyed his antique classic cars and woodworking.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Kydaran Pascoe and wife Dee Ann of Hideaway, TX, daughter Sheri Wilson-Pascoe of Pismo Beach, CA, and Edith Pascoe of Pismo Beach, CA.
He is also survived by grandchildren Courtney and Darwin Bonifacio, Haley Pascoe, Devan and Payton Wilson, Aubreigh and Seth Gniotczynski, Adam Varias, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home "Celebration of Life" Building D, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA on June 4, 2024 at 11:00 am.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Eyraud, Jr., Donald "Butch" Blue, Greg Canard, Nathan Carver, Al Zamora, Tim Harris, and the Honor Guard of CHP.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CAHP Widows and Orphans Fund.

I knew him many, many years ago. We always passed by the entrance to his place going up Evans Rd to my parents house. He was always a nice guy, friendly with everyone.
