What great guy. He left us way to soon. Maureen and kids were lucky to have him. St. Ursula School would not be as strong as it is today without his leadership.

Maureen, Matt, Donnie and Lizzie,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Al was among the most genuine and sincere people I have ever met.
He welcomed me to St. Urusula from the very beginning. Very soon thereafter did I learn how much he cared for the school. Working/Coaching Basketball with Al showed me how dedicated one could be to something he truly loved.
I hope and pray the the cherished memories you have and the joy Al carried with himself will bring you peace and love with his passing.
May God Bless His Soul

Dear Maureen, Helen, Matt, Donnie, and Lizzie,
My prayers are with you, and I am sorry to hear of Al's passing. I remember Al helping with scouts, basketball, and trying to teach the teachers at St. Ursula's how to use the computer. Al was a great influence by leading the financial restructuring of St. Ursula School. I remember you, Maureen, when we took the students to the math tournament at Mt. St. Joe's. I remember all of you - Helen, Matt, Donnie, and Lizzie, as young 6th graders, each with your own personalities, but with a sense of responsibility instilled in you by your mom and dad. Al was always giving back to the community, his church, and family. Those attributes are so evedent in your whole famliy's service to others.
Sincerely,
Rose Liberto and family

Mrs. Hahn & Family,
We are so deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your husband/father. Vince spoke highly of Mr. Al from when he came to speak to the 8th graders last year, amd of course he still speaks very highly of you. I had the brief pleasure of meeting your husband over the summer when I ran into both of you at Mars; and from that brief encounter I remember his geuine kindness.
Words can not express our sympathy. You, Mr. Al and your family are in our daily thoughts and prayers.
May the Lord grant you the strength and grace to get through this most difficult time. May Mr. Al rest in Peace and Rise in Eternal Glory.
In Friendship & Faith,
The Lawton Family

Maureen and Kids
I am sure Al was a good husband and father, and I know just how proud he was of each of you. It is a loss to all us that he left us so soon.
You to should be very proud of everything Al did for everyone, but St. Ursula School in particular was a great benefactor of his talents. He was a Boy Scout leader, ran the St. Ursula basketball program and its annual tournament, and was an original and long-time member of the St Ursula School Board. Al was instrumental in setting tuition rates, finance issues, and the he took on the teacher salary and benefits issue, and got it accomplished. Truly, he laid the ground work for the school it is today and will be in the future.
Al thank you, and Maureen and kids, thank you for sharing him with us.
