Arthur Hash Obituary

On March 15, 2023, Arthur Lee Hash died after a prolonged illness. Arthur was born in Pound, Virginia and moved to Baltimore as a young man. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Doris Ann Hash, his mother Allie Hash (Cox), his father Rufus Hash, his brothers Neal Hash, Riley Hash and Jackie Hash. He is survived by his sister-in-law Joyce Auffarth, his brother-in-law Joe Auffarth, his sister-in-law Angela Fleck as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Arthur was a faithful servant to God. He served his Country in the Korean War as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 40 years of service. Arthur enjoyed nature, loved animals and had many varied interests. He collected Indian relics, was an advocate for the Indian Nation, played various musical instruments, studied genealogy, liked fishing, horticulture, traveling and reading. Most of all, Arthur was a kind and gentle soul.

Following Arthurs' wishes, services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate memorial contributions to your local animal shelter.
