Suddenly on Friday September 1, 2006, ASHLEY BETH ROSENTHAL, loving daughter of Jay and Leslie Rosenthal (nee Shoemaker) devoted granddaughter of Margy and Paul Rappaport, David and Doris Shoemaker and Patricia Thacker and the late Edna and Albert Rosenthal, beloved niece of Fred and Maria Rosenthal, Glenn and Roseann Shoemaker, Amy Rappaport, Steven and Suzanne Shoemaker, also survived by many loving cousins and many dear friends.
Servcies at SOL LEVINSON & BROS HOME, 8900 Reisterstown Road at Mt. Wilson Lane on Tuesday September 5 at 11 A.M. Interment Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD. Please omit flowers. The family has directed all contributions to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD (21236). In mourning at (Turf Valley Overlook) 3119 Nestling Pine Court, Ellicott City, MD (21042) through Friday at 5 P.M. 5

Dear Mr.& Mrs.Rosenthal im sorry 4 not writing sooner but i just found this book on the web,ASHLEY BETH was the best human being it has ever been my privilege to meet,i dont just say that because she was my best friend,isay that because she made the world a better place because she was in it,she always made me smile even at the lowest points of my life,she had a strength!i would've died 4 her,she will be remembered for as long as i & my children live!she was loved soo much by the people she touched,few know of the truly great loss we have all suffered by her passing,she was a living ANGEL,i still have a hard time going on without my lil sister but i know she watches over us all & misses u both greatly,we always talked about your trips & the concerts u guys went 2 & all the fun she had with u 2,know that the 2 people she loved the most was you guys, i cant ever thank you 2 enough for having ASHLEY & making her into the person who would befriend me,you 2 did a fantastic job of raising her,she was the best friend anybody could have ever asked 4!!!if u guys ever need anything,please call me love u guys, robert.

I knew Ashley back in middle school and then high school. I'm sorry it took me so long to write this entry but I just found out about her passing last night. I have been in Iraq for the past 18 months. Ashley was a wonderful person and friends. She will be missed very much. My heart and thoughts are with the whole Rosenthal family during this rough time. ASHLEY WE MISS YOU!!!!!

Dear Leslie and Jay: Upon learning of Pauls death we learned of your precious daughters passing, we are too heartbroken to put into words, what we wish we could say.

We just found out about Ashley and Mr. Rappaport today. My heart aches for you and Jay. No words in the world could comfort you. I just heard what happened today from an old friend. I was shocked and incredibly saddened. I haven't seen Ashley in years but have many fond memories of the time I spent with her. She was a great friend and such unique, energetic, and outgoing person...always finding a way to make someone smile or laugh. All I hope is that her soul is home and that she has finally found peace. I am so sorry to hear about Ashley. I have not seen Ashley in probably 8-10 years but I have great memories. I had some great times babysitting Ashley from the time she was 3 or 4 until about 12. I remember the sweet young girl that lived in Elkridge and the beautiful young lady who lived in Ellicott City. I always had fun when we were together. I'll never forget the time I wanted to know if I was fat so I thought a 10 year old always tells the truth. So her answer to me, "no but you have a big butt". I never laughed so hard in my life. We had alot of fun together and she will be missed. Leslie and Jay my deepest sympathy to all of you and sorry we were not able to attend the services.
