Barbara Stevens Obituary

On June 28, 2022, Barbara McCormick Stevens; beloved wife of the late James Wilmer Stevens, Jr.; devoted mother of Scott Stevens and his wife Suzie, Mark Stevens, and Paula Harmon and her husband John; Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Connor, and Matthew Stevens and of Jack and Alex Harmon; dear sister of Ann Owings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Edward A. and Marie H. McCormick, her sister Gwynn Ruhl, and her brother Edward McCormick.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 8th from 4-7 PM at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd., Towson, MD 21204. The Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 9th at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21210. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral Preservation Trust at the address above or at https://www.cathedralofmary.org/give/ways-to-give

I´m so sorry for your loss! Getting to know Barbara at Mercy Ridge for the past 9 months have been the best thing ever! She became like family. I always enjoyed going in her room. Her smile and sense of humor always made my days 100 percent better! I´m so grateful that I was able to know her for so long! I will always be your little ladybug! Sending love to Paula, Mark, Scott and family!
