Charles Little Obituary

LITTLE , Charles Robert Electrical Contractor/Actor: On November 23, 2012, CHARLES ROBERT LITTLE surrounded by family passed away peacefully at Lorien Rehabilitation Center. Charles was born in Baltimore in 1927 and raised by his loving parents Matilda F. And William E. Little, deceased. He married his loving and devoted wife Anna Rita (Schuckert) Little (deceased) and celebrated more than 60 wonderful anniversaries together. Charles left school in 1944 and entered an apprenticeship program to become an electrician and worked on "Victory Ships" at the Fairfield shipyard. He was later inducted into the United States Army, received basic training at Fort McClellan and served in the Phillipines. He was honorably discharged in 1947. After the war, Charles completed his education and became a master electrician. He founded several businesses and was Chairman and President of Adam Services, Inc. Which provided electrical and mechanical contracting services. He retired in 1997 to devote more time to his acting career. Charles was active in several civic and charitable organizations. He was a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge and Noble of Boumi Temple. He was a past Board Member and member of the "Paint and Powder Club" and performed in over 20 annual benefit shows. He looked forward to the annual production and to fully capturing his role. Charles was also a member of the Screen Actors Guild in appeared in over 11 feature films including "Enemy of the State", "The Wire" "Ladder 49" and "Major League II". He had many hobbies and interests and enjoyed collections and was an avid chess player. Some of his fondest memories included playing chess during down times on the set of "Enemy of the State" with Will Smith and to challenging his grandchildren during family gatherings. Working side by side with his wife Anne in their multiple businesses they raised three loving daughters in their Lutherville home. They resided happily there for 45 years. Charles was a devoted father and is survived by his daughters, Deborah R. Balog , Karen A. Little, and Charlene H. O'Malley and his son in laws David J. O'Malley Sr., Anthony P. Dziwulski and Joseph G. Balog, deceased. He was also cherished "Granddaddy" to Joseph P. Balog Charles M. Balog David J. O'Malley Jr. Prix Ann Little and Patrick J. O'Malley, his surviving grandchildren, and great-grandchildren William and Grace.
Friends may call the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday 11 AM. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society 8219 Town Center Drive Baltimore, MD 21236.
