On May 19, 2017, Clarence Gordon Shelley a United States Navy Veteran of Baltimore; beloved husband of Merrie Lou Shelley; devoted father of Merrie Lynn Crawford, Judith Goldwyn Sowinski, Timothy Gordon Shelley and Mark Thomas Shelley; cherished grandfather of Timothy Jacobs, Joshua Shelley, Mark C. Shelley, Katherine Boylan, Zachary Shelley, Luke Shelley and Caroline Shelley; great-grandfather of Kayla Jacobs, Kassie Jacobs, Natalie Shelley, Mark D. Shelley, Molly Shelley, Elijah Jacobs, Michael Smith and great-great grandfather of Aspen Jacobs; dear brother of Elenor Schaefer, the late Thomas Shelley and Norma Grundy. Also survived by loving family members Marge Cammarata and Mary Swindell Shelley, we are forever grateful for your loving care. A memorial service will be held 11AM Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services - Parkville, 8800 Harford Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Clarence's name may be made to the VFW Post 183- 8123 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD 21234.

Gordon was one of the most cherished friend that I had ever met. He was always positive about life and he always had another joke before he parted ways with you.Gordon never turned down a chance to help you and he made it seem it was more of an honor to do you a favor rather than a bother.Clarence and I had the same perspective on life- we believed if you did something for someone you needed to do it with a good heart if not why bother, so it will always be his heart I remember most of all his traits. The Lord has a special place in heaven for Gordon RIP dear friend. My deepest condolences to Merrie Shelley my other cherished friend and her family.
