Mr. Kevin, Mrs. DeLane, Brooke, and Kevin: Words cannot express the sorrow I have for each of you. It was an absolute honor and privilege to play with Connor. Always calm, cool, and collective. He always had a smile on his face, always had a positive attitude, kept me under control, and was happy just to be with the guys on the diamonds. Connor's passing is a tragedy to the world and the game of baseball. He will be deeply missed each and everyday and will always be remembered. He gave me as well as many others countless memories which will not be soon forgotten. Connor has made these past four years some of the best ever. Others will agree with me when I say Connor was a great influence in how to live and love life. My and as well as the rest of the Weldon family's deepest sympathy to you and yours. Stay strong, we are always here for you. God Bless.

Connor,
Thank you for being a part of our team, our family and our friend. You humbly walked onto the field and into my heart the first day I met you. A good athlete with great potential, you matured into a handsome, confident, and determined young man. You taught me how to have patience and how to persevere. You taught me to have fun and to enjoy the game. Your smile moved me in a way that made me enjoy being around you. I was proud to watch you take the mound and face batter after batter into the later innings. You showed courage and determination. I applaud you for all of your efforts in setting and achieving your goals. That's all anybody wants to do in life is to take a stand, and to make a difference. Thank you for being a part of our life. I am proud to have known you, am blessed to have coached you, and am honored to have shared your name. I will never forget you.

I would like share a story with everyone about Connor and what He ment to Me.Two years ago after pitching a few innings Connor was struggling on the pitchers mound and finally the inning was over, walking off of the field I knew Connor was feeling a little low as he took His place on the bench. Sitting next to Him I just smiled, what I got back was an expression that said"just leave Me alone" at that time I informed Connor that I was the Team physiologist and He could tell Me anything, we both busted out laughing. That was great to see Connors eyes lightup as He laughed so hard. That is how I will always remember Connor.
When We walk out on that baseball field it's not who wins or loses It's about the friends We make and the lives We change Connor Your smile and laughter has changed My life forever,
Untill We meet again,Your Friend,Your Buddy,Your Coach,

You are one my kids between the lines.
I consider you a son.
You are my player, my student, my joy.
You take seriously the game within the game.
You are the reason that we coach.
You are a stabilizing force in a team of personalities.
Your presence and being anchored us.
You taught us respect.
You helped us to become the brotherhood that we are.
It's not supposed to be this way.
I have lost elders and peers and have accepted it as part of life.
I have never lost a young person for whom I care so much.
You have taught me and I am better for it.
I will take your lesson and pay it forward.
I will be a better man.
You will forever be in my heart alongside your team brothers.
Our lives will be comforted knowing that we will be together in eternity.
Safe voyage my friend.

Please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
And within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
As long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.
I'm the colorful leaves when Autumn's around
And the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.
I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.
When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
You can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
And you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, I'm every place!
Delane,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
