David Arthur Carson Sr. obituary

David Carson Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Rev. Dr. David A. Carson Sr., a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved grandfather, who entered eternal rest peacefully on July 19, 2025.

Born on February 29, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, David was a true gentleman-humble, kind, disciplined, and full of gracious wisdom. His life was defined by strength of character, deep devotion to his family, and his unwavering Christian faith.

David was the loving husband of Carol for 66 years, a partnership grounded in love, respect, and enduring commitment. As a father, he led by example-offering his children, David Jr., Steven, and John Mark, a steady hand, sound guidance, and unconditional love. To his grandchildren-Joshua, Brad, Brooke, Joelle, and Eva-he was a source of love, warmth, and spiritual grounding.

Throughout his life, David touched countless lives with his generosity of spirit and gentle presence. He lived his values daily-with humility, loyalty, quiet grace, and a steadfast commitment to his faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife Carol, his sons Steven (Joan) and John Mark (Tia), and his grandchildren Joshua, Brad, Brooke, Joelle, and Eva. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perley and Eva Carson, and his beloved son, David Jr.

Though he has left this world, his legacy of faith, love, integrity, and kindness will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." - Revelation 21:4
