David Hoeckel Obituary
Dave was a devoted father and an extraordinary "PopPop" to his grandchildren, who adored him beyond measure. In 2001, he married the love of his life, Lynn, and together, they built a life filled with joy and adventure, eventually trading the winters of Baltimore for the sunshine of Florida.
Dave's true gift was his kindness. His warmth and laughter were magnetic, and his smile was contagious. He made those around him feel like an unexpected gift in his day. Though he has left this world, Dave's spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. He was, in every sense, the best of us. Rest easy, Dave "Hank" Hoeckel. You will forever be in our hearts.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; his mother, Colleen; his brothers, Paul and Greg; his children, Claire, Tim, and Beth; his stepdaughters, Berkley and Barrett; and his grandchildren, Will, Lucy, and Mack.
A service to celebrate Dave's life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore, Maryland. All are welcome.

Although Mr.Hoeckel was my friend´s dad, he felt like everyone´s. So kind, and always supportive. I knew if my parents couldn´t be at a game, I had Dave cheering for me along with his daughter. Something so simple but so impactful. He knew all of us by name and always talked with us. He was easily one of my favorite parents and I´m so fortunate to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

David was so helpful to any new employee at Towson Times. He helped me understand the business and was always positive. David adored his children. He was a very loving father and juggled work and caring for them when they were young. David will be very missed by his many friends.
