I was very saddened to just hear about Dave. He was quiet, humble and personable. I enjoyed playing basketball with him as well. May the good Lord bless his soul and all those who survive him.

I worked with Dave at my first job after college, at Times Publishing. Dave was kind, laid back, funny & even a little silly. He is gone way too soon!

Although Mr.Hoeckel was my friend´s dad, he felt like everyone´s. So kind, and always supportive. I knew if my parents couldn´t be at a game, I had Dave cheering for me along with his daughter. Something so simple but so impactful. He knew all of us by name and always talked with us. He was easily one of my favorite parents and I´m so fortunate to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

David was so helpful to any new employee at Towson Times. He helped me understand the business and was always positive. David adored his children. He was a very loving father and juggled work and caring for them when they were young. David will be very missed by his many friends.
