David Levine Obituary

Dr. David M. Levine, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 20204 at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane B. Levine; his cherished children, Adam Levine and Jennifer Levine; his devoted cousin, Susan (Steve) Scolnik; his dear brother-in-law, Irwin (Phyllis) Browarsky; and many loving friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Samuel Levine and Celia Sroelov.

David Levine worked at Johns Hopkins University as a physician, educator, and mentor. He was known as a good listener, a dedicated doctor, and a caring colleague. David Levine was also known for his sense of humor, his generosity, and his unique fashion sense, which led him to wearing mismatched socks to work. He loved working in medicine and was passionate about his connections to the Baltimore community. He extended the relationship between Johns Hopkins University and the East Baltimore neighborhoods. 

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Firday, November 8th, 2024, at 1pm. Interment is private. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Berman Institute of Bioethics, gift designation "Ethics in Clinical Practice" online only at https://bioethics.jhu.edu. David was an exceptional person and physician with a wonderful sense of humor and engaging personality, and was held in highest regard by his colleagues in the Johns Hopkins medical community. Sylvia and I both loved him and send our sincerest condolences to Diane, Adam, and Jenny.
