David Uffer Obituary

David George Uffer died peacefully at home on February 27 at age 90. In 1953, he married Nicole Donze (both working in Manhattan), with whom he shared his life until her death in 2008. His career in data systems led him to Europe and the Middle East, then to Martin Marietta in Baltimore. After retirement, he worked with the Office of Special Events at Johns Hopkins. David is survived by his daughters Carole Stein (David) and Nicole Selhorst (Peter), granddaughters Josie Rhodes (Brett) and Emma Hinke, great-grandchildren Hunter and Nora, sister Marilyn, many nieces and nephews, and best friend David Seger. The memorial service will be held on March 30 at 11:00am at The Inn at the Colonnade, Tuscany Room, 4 West University Parkway, Baltimore.

David was a gracious and warm person who loved his family very much. He hired me to create a portrait of two of his great-grandchildren. I consider myself fortunate to have met him, and know he will be missed and his memory cherished.
