Dolores Harvey Obituary

On August 14, 2021, Dolores (nee Colandrea) Harvey, beloved wife of the late Douglas G. Harvey (1982); loving mother of Ellen Stevens (Broomfield CO) and Christian Harvey (Laura Snyder) (Cockeysville), and also survived by four loving grandchildren, Carolyn and Sonia Stevens, Kaitlin and Neil Harvey, one sister, Eleanore Iannarone of Connecticut and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in Westport CT, one of five children to Dominick Colandrea and Palma Knox. Her older brother Frank, and sisters Rose and Stella predeceased her.

Mrs. Harvey, a graduate of both the University of New Hampshire and Loyola College (Baltimore) was a psychologist with Juvenile Services and the Charles B. Hickey School, and later with the Baltimore City Schools, from which she retired in 1999.

During her younger years she enjoyed traveling, working in her garden and reading a good book. She was an avid cook and loved to prepare meals for her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family has chosen to not hold a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
