Friends may call at the family-owned MITCHELL-WIEDEFELD FUNERAL HOME INC. 6500 York Rd. (at Overbrook) on Sunday, July 10th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 10AM at St Pius X Church. Interment Moreland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202 or National Kidney Foundation 30 West 33rd St., New York, NY 10016

Cindy,
I just saw your mom's death notice in the Mercy newsletter. I am so sorry for your loss. Doris was one of my dearest friends when I worked for the Department of Aging from 1984 to 1993. We ate lunch together every day and shared a lot of laughs. She spoke often of her children and grandchildren; she loved and was very proud of all of you.
Your mom was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most caring individuals with whom I had ever worked. We kept in touch over the years through Christmas cards.
Know that she is now resting peacefully with the Lord. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
