Say hello to everyone for me.

* I am just still so stunned by first Frances' son Divine's death the 7th of March 1988, then by Frances' husband Harris' death the 4th of March 1993 and last but not least by Frances' own death the 24th of March 2009 !!! (N.B. : common factor, all two Frances' family members and she herself died in March of each respective year of being deceased !!!). * I am heart-broken, ever since Glenn (Divine) died in 1988, March the 7th, and via Harris' and Frances' dates of death, even evermore so, this is so true. * I loved them all three, though I felt so near them before 1988, I now feel so bereaved of their presence(s) after 2009.
Love, Frederik (NL - EU) .... ❤ (3 x)

I met Frances when I was 13 years old. I worked summers at LaPaix Nursery School and then started dating her son, Glenn. I thought of her as a second mother and we kept in touch over the years after Divine and I stopped dating in 1966 and last saw her not long before she passed away. Took her to the Senator Theatre to show her the footprints in cement in front of the theatre for the opening of "Hairspray" and we went to lunch. Diana Evans

I just wished that I had had the chance to have met her and to have told her her what a great wonderful actor her son was and that I miss him dearly

I wish I had been able to meet you in life, but from everything I've ever read, you were exactly the kind of mother I try to be: supportive, funny, and loving. I think your son was able to portray a loving mother so convincingly because he had a great role model. I feel for your family, who I am sure will keenly miss you. RIP.

Frances introduced me to her son, Glenn, when I was 12 years old. He and I attended a dance at his junior high school. We dated for several years and I considered Frances to be like a second Mom. She will always be very special to me. I miss Mr. Harris and Divine very much too.
The last time I saw her I showed her all of the movie art work at the Senator theater where "Hair Spray" premiered in Baltimore and we had lunch at Friendly Farms.
She and Mr. Harris owned LaPaix Nursery School and I worked there during the summer breaks. She made the best spaghetti sauce in the world. Diana
