Frank Fenhagen Obituary

Frank Donald Fenhagen III, 74, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on August 27, 2021.

Donald was born in 1947 to the late Frank Donald Fenhagen Jr and F. Lillian White Fenhagen in Baltimore, MD. He grew up in the Roland Park neighborhood of Baltimore and had very fond memories of spending his summers with his siblings in Bermuda where his mother was born and raised. He attended boarding school at the Phelps School in Malvern, PA and went on to study at Windham College in Putnam Vermont and the Maryland Institute College of Art. Afterwards, he served in the Maryland National Guard.

Donald worked in a wide range of fields including photography, radio, technology, digital advertising and telecom. He was a life-long entrepreneur and led several companies in marketing, engineering, design and telecom. He was an avid reader, learned how to speed read as a child and sometimes would read a book in a day.

In 1964, he met Lynda Fenhagen, and they wed in 1971 going on to have 2 children, Frank Donald Fenhagen IV and Timothy Bryan Reginald Fenhagen. They later divorced.

After ending his career, Donald spent his final years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he enjoyed spending time with his friends, reading books, telling stories about his life, friends, children and grandchildren and enjoying the warm Florida weather. Donald had a huge heart and friends from all walks of life. He never judged anyone. He was a master storyteller, both fiction and non-fiction. He would talk to anyone that would listen to him and he would listen to anyone that would talk.

Donald is survived by his 2 sons, (Don and Tim) his 3 grandchildren (George, Sam and Hank) and his sister Pamela F. Corckran and brother William E. Fenhagen.

Memorial arrangements to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations go to a charity of your choice in his name.

I´m so sorry that Donald is no longer with us. I pray that he finds his place with God. He´ll certainly have many to talk to in Heaven.
Although I had not known Donald for a long time, his personality made you a good friend instantly.
It´s Friday and Donald always looked at my post for the Weekly Fisherman Show, and commented or liked the post.
I´ll miss you Donald. You were always a voice of reason. Go with God.

I dated Don many years ago, but we kept in touch. He spoke often about how much he loved his grandchildren and how proud he was of his two sons. I will miss our emails.

Had the pleasure to work with Don several times when he was at Blakeslee-Lane on Charles street. He and his wife invited my wife and I to their cabin near Luray, Virgiinia. He was fun to work with, always a professional. My sincere condolences to his friends and family.
