On August 18, 2016, Gilbert Sapperstein; beloved husband of the late Sondra Elaine Sapperstein (nee Strauss); cherished father of Ellen Glass, Mark (Stacy) Sapperstein, and Lynn Sapperstein; devoted brother of Jerry (Linda) Sapperstein; loving grandfather of Jay Sapperstein and Jill (Tom) Duvall; loving uncle of Eric (Rachel) Sapperstein and Eliana Sapperstein; cherished son of the late Earl and Pauline Sapperstein. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, August 21, at 2 pm. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery - Berrymans Lane. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the University of Maryland Medical Center Cancer Center, 22 S. Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. In mourning at 15 Evan Way, Baltimore, MD 21208, on Sunday and Monday.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to the entire Sapperstien family for their loss.MR.GiL was a extremely good man.I looked forward to our conversations in the morning when he came to Martinis in the morning for his coffee before he headed to work.I thank him for all the advice he use to give me.He will be missed.

Condolences to the Sapperstein family. Gil was loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful man. Gil's friends in Florida miss his smile and gentle nature.

I am truly sorry for the loss of Gil. he always kept his word and treated me fairly when i did work for him i am his cousin and worked on his cars and later his houses. he always treated me with warm smile and a firm handshake.I remember him taking me to lunch at the cross st market I was real depressed and confused.I asked him questions about repairing a boiler.he look at me like i was crazy. And said Ira im a business man I buy it for this and sell it for that period.And we looked each other and laughed. He was a great guy.
