Life is a series of "seasons". We're in each other's life for a "season" and that "season" lasts for as long as it's can. I continue to remember the season Gilda shared with me as well as how she would "take a break" from her grief when sharing the wonderful stories of her mom and Tiffani. Tiffani continues to be remembered at The Greater Baltimore Chapter of TCF's participation in the annual Worldwide Candlelight Memorial in December. Since Gilda's passing, Tiffani has been included in every program and we continue to light a candle for her when her name is read aloud. This is done for my friend as a reminder and representation for the eternal unending love Gilda and Tiffani share. I will always remember.

Gilda, If you were still with us, we would be listening to our old Monkee albums. Our beloved, Davy Jones passed away, of a sudden heart attack. We loved them too. He lived here in Florida. Now he's on the other side with you. If when we pass, we get to see anyone we want to that's also passed over, then you must be having a ball. If there's a "Rock and Roll Heaven" well you know they've got a hell of a band! You would understand that line. Miss all our fun times together. May you have eternal peace!

Gilda, Our song was Josh Groban's "To Where You Are". I could always count on you to play this at the annual TCF candle lighting events. Made me smile and cry at the same time. I've shared the poem you wrote for Tiffani - My Forever Love. It's part of our chapter collection of parent's poems and a part of our website. You and Tiff will not be forgotten. Bless you in your joyous reunion with Tiffani and your beloved mother. I'm grateful to call you friend. Keep sending us smiles! :)

I just learned of Gilda's passing. After losing Tiffani, Gilda came to join us at The Greater Baltimore Chapter of The Compassionate Friends. Our mission is to help families find a positive resolution after the death of children, siblings and grandchildren. Gilda knew that we never "get over" this but we do our best to continue our life by sharing memories and stories of what helps us get through it. Gilda would come to the meetings and share stories about her mom and Tiffani. We got to know Tiffani through Gilda. Gilda would attend, stop for a while and then return. Over the years, it wasn't unusal to not see her for several months at a time. The last meeting she attended was February 2, 2011 and she sat next to me. Each December our chapter participates in The TCF Worldwide Candlelight Memorial, held to honor our loved ones. At the December 2010 Memorial, Gilda played the song, "To Where You Are". My hope is that Gilda has found the peace that alluded her here. I'm grateful for Gilda sharing her beautiful Tiffani with us. We miss her at our meetings. We will never forget Gilda or Tiffani.

Very sorry to hear that you one of my only friends here on earth is gone but not forgotten. I saw you last year and even though you slept in the back seat we had a enjoyable time at one of the retaurants, applebees I think, we had appetizers and you had 2 long island ice teas, no wonder you were sleeping in th eback seat, I still enjoyed your company after not seeing you for 20 years, I wish I could have done more for you but I have a very bad allergy to cats. You were one of the very few peopl who had sympathy for me despite your own sorrow. I will love you forever Helen

Gilda and I were great Beatle fans, and about this time of year, when I was in Baltimore, we would go to the week-end Beatle Fests at the Meadowlands, Hilton, NJ, and sing Beatles songs, and go through the Beatle flea market and a splendid time was gauranteed for all. She would want you all to know that, "Love is the answer", and you know that's for sure. And you get by with a little help from your friends, and life flows on within you and without you. You say goodbye to her and she says hello, to the other side. But most of all, "All you need is love, love, Love is all you need!"

Gilda, I will miss you always. We had alot of good times together, and some not so good ones. But that is what comes from being family. I will always love you. I know you are without pain now, and that you are with Tiff and Aunt Nettie and Uncle Ted. Rest in peace, cuz! If anyone is interested in taking one of the cats into your home, please call me at 443-293-7727 or cell at 443-536-9234.

Gilda, I can't believe you are gone. I will miss you so much at the family functions. Thank you so very much for your friendship. We met through my mother Mrs. Annie Bruce and instantly became friends. May you find the peace and happiness you so sought on this earth, in Heaven. I was sad to hear of Gilda's passing. I met Gilda many years ago when we were teachers at Dr. Carter G. Woodson. She was such a kind sweet person. I remember when our girls had sleepovers at her home. I remember our phone conversations. She will be sorely missed by all.

Gilda was a wonderful Pre-K Instructor with the Baltimore City Public Schools. I am certain that children who were raised on the Pennsylvania Avenue Corridor and in Cherry Hill will remember her fondly. She loved her students as well as her family and friends. May she rest in God's perfect peace.

I've been friends with Gilda for 30 years and was trying to talk her into moving to Florida to a 55+ community in Delray, where they transport people from doctors, to stores, shuls, etc. She was considering moving here. I would come and help her out, when I visited Baltimore. It's sad that she never got to make the move. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her loved ones. We will miss her, dearly.
