Just today I was thinking of Arthur, Larry Jimmy, and their parents James and LaVerne. My father died when I was four. But Mr. Nimmo was one of the neighborhood dads who stepped right up, so I did not feel I was missing anything. He'd take me with his own kids ice skating, or to Hamburger Junction. In the 1970s there was a popular song, 1432 Franklin Park Circle Hero. Everytime I'd hear it, I'd think of you, Mr. Nimmo. So wherever you are, I have never forgotten you. Nor LaVerne, who taught me bridge and took me to my first basketball game! Love you all forever.
