Jane was a kind and caring friend and my high school art teacher. I went to her home several times to do help her but I always came away with something to help me.

One of my favorite teachers at Parkville Senior High. Her Fine Arts class was one of the few where the students groaned in protest when the bell to end class rang. It’s no wonder I took her class 2 years in a row. RIP Jane and I hope that all the water colors you paint in the next life have “Happy Accidents”.

What a great influence on my graphic design career and life. I fondly remember Mrs. Murry. So many stories ... hahaha. She was a good sport for my many pranks (I placed my boa constrictor in her desk once). My favorite teacher @ Parkville '73

Just by coincidence i found out today online that my favorite teacher that happened to be my art teacher died a month ago. Miss Murray was a mentor to me always encouraging and even put my funky crafts in her nieces crafts shop. Miss Murray encouraged all my art , even the weird stuff. She would suggest different materials or mediums that would open My mind. She had her hair done for years by another art student Veronica Kronner Packer. My sister Amy also had Miss Murray, as did my brother michael . She influenced many young artists through the years. Thanks to Miss Murray, she
also placed my slides of art in an application for what we called art camp up at st Joseph’s school where the FEMA is now in Emmitsburg MD. Before then it was in Benson Md at a REAL camp. God bless you Miss Murray. You were loved and so appreciated!!!

Jane was my favorite teacher in at Edmondson High. She was patient, kind, and caring.

Although not her favorite student she took me under her wing and made sure I came to school every day. Her class was the only reason I came to school. In the summer I would see her relaxing on a bench on the OC boardwalk at 9th street.

Odd coincidence, I was named after my great grandmother Sarah Jane Murray and her husband was Edward Murray. Although Jane’s parents Sara and Edward are not my grandparents I will need to dig deeper in my genealogy out off curiosity.

I’m so happy that I connected with Jane through our sorority and had the opportunity to tell what a positive influence she was in my life. Jane Murray made a difference.

My heartfelt condolences to her loving family.

Fondly
