Janet Carr Obituary

CARR

Janet Doerer Carr, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021. One of 12 children, she is survived by one brother and two sisters, two daughters, Kathleen Joens of Sugar Land, Texas and Jennifer Langrehr of Bel Air, Maryland, and two sons, Richard Carr of Springhill, Florida and Timothy Carr of Glenwood, Maryland. Janet had eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, family meant everything to her. Janet was an active parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary for over 40 years. She retired from Baltimore County Public Schools after 21 years of service as an administrative assistant and then spent several years volunteering at the BSO, Chesapeake Cancer Alliance, and Upper Chesapeake Hospital. Janet enjoyed traveling, gardening, participating in sports, and most importantly spending time with her family. She remained active throughout her life. Her perseverance and positive outlook were an inspiration to her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in the future.
