Janet Mellits Mazor

Janet Mazor Mellits, of Baltimore, MD passed away on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving sons, Kenneth (Tracy) Mellits, Arnold Mellits (Bonita Dozier), and Marc Mellits (Cristina Buciu); and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob Mellits, Jasper Mellits, Sidney Mellits, Isabella Lopez, David Mellits, Laila Mellits, Mara Mellits, and Nina Mellits. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dr. E. David Mellits and Arnold Mazor; her caring brother, Barry (Sandra) Shuman; and her dear parents, Sidney and Rose Shuman.

Janet met her husband David while she was a senior at Forest Park High School, Baltimore, MD. They married while David was finishing his last year at Johns Hopkins University. Together they raised three boys in Randallstown, MD, always stressing family values and education. Janet was known for her infectious smile, joy of life, and her love of family. Unfortunately, David passed in 1995, however she enjoyed a second lease on life with her dear second husband Arnold. Together they enjoyed many trips to Ocean City, visiting grandchildren, and travel. May this amazing woman rest in peace.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Interment Beth El Memorial Park - Randallstown. Please omit flowers.
