I first met Jeffrey when I became a patient of his in middle school, during the mid-2000s.
To say that the man was like a father to me would be an understatement. Jeff went above and beyond, checking in with me periodically even after I decided I no longer needed counseling.
He was more than just a counselor. He was a friend and a father, and I can genuinely say that without his intervention my life would be in a very different place right now, and not for the better.
Jeffrey was truly a man who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, the burdens and struggles of the lives of everyone he touched.
As I grieve his passing, I am comforted by the fact that he lives on through his efforts; through the lives of everyone who he has helped.
Rest peacefully, Jeff. You may be gone, but be assured that you will not be forgotten.

Jeff was a dear friend who I first met in Elementary School in Plainville CT. We maintained our friendship throughout the years since. We talked frequently on the phone and often met with friends for dinners out. I will miss Jeff deeply.

Jeff counseled my husband and me off and on for several years, and was instrumental in strengthening and eventually saving our marriage. He was warm, compassionate, intuitive, and spoke straight from the chest when necessary, and, as often, straight from the heart. Traveling all the way to Columbia was absolutely worth the effort, and I will be eternally grateful to him. My husband passed away but we had 50 mostly wonderful years together, certainly in part due to how we were helped by Dr. Moss. My deepest sympathies on your loss of a man who carried the burdens of so many others.
Sincerely, DOW

Jeff was one of the most kind, caring and sensitive persons, who understood the human condition, that I had the privilege of knowing.
I was saddened to hear of his passing. We were classmates in High School.

I was Jeffrey's patient for nearly ten years beginning in the late 1980's. He was a very caring and considerate professional who benefitted me greatly. I usually give Dr. Moss credit for helping me to grow up emotionally and become an adult. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I am very grateful that our paths crossed in a meaningful way. I will always feel gratitude for the care and insight he gave me and will continue to remember him with the greatest love and admiration. My sympathies for your family's loss.
