Joseph Tringali Obituary

TRINGALI , Joseph C. On May 31, 2009 Joseph C. Tringali, one of Baltimore and Howard County's finest business leaders, died after a protracted and courageous battle with congestive heart failure and cancer. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Concetti (nee Fiorino), cherished father of Gerianne Tringali DiPiano (Michael), Sebastian Tringali, Maria Tringali DeSimone, Christopher Tringali (Jennifer), Victor Tringali (Vicky); dear grandfather of Erin Maria DiPiano, Mariah Tringali, Christian Tringali, Marc DeSimone, Jake Tringali and Gianna Tringali; loving brother of Mary C. Toulan (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tringali was the son of Sebastian and Maria Tringali of Augusta, Sicily who immigrated to the United States in the 1920's. He was a graduate of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and served in the United States Navy before founding and building a large regional wholesale produce business located initially in Baltimore and later in Howard County. An innovator and visionary, Mr. Tringali defined and successfully implemented a market segmentation strategy leading to the development of a multimillion dollar enterprise in the wholesale produce industry. Later he established JSC Enterprises, which identified and invested in real estate and various securities. Mr. Tringali was a devout Roman Catholic but ecumenical in his approach. He admired all persons of faith and continued to give praise and glory to God for his bounty. He is remembered as a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was loved and lovable.

Uncle Joe, I love you. I will always remember your kindness to me when I was staying at your house (off of Old Court Rd.) for a little while. I was mixed up, but, you gave me reassurance and love. This memory, I will always treasure.
