I knew Mr Grasmick from my days at C&P Telephone Co and my tenure at Jacksonville Vet. I took care of his telephone "problems" at C&P and took care of Lucky and Joy while I was at the Vet. He was always pleasant and funny, never condescending despite the obvious generation and social gap. He will be missed by many

Dear Dr Nancy Grasmick: My family and the Union Baptist Church family extends our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mr Lou Grasmick was a gentle giant who used his influence and resources to help many people within the community I serve. During my early advocacy days I fought against redlining by local banks. He quietly joined the effort by participating in financing the creation of The Harbor Bank of Maryland. He taught me an important lesson about the collective goodwill of people and the inter connectedness of all people. He always provided me with a listening ear. I'm thankful for the many moments we shared, private in nature but profound in their relevance to my development. Please rest assured that heaven has a special place for Mr Grasmick because he demonstrated a concern for the least of these and has now earned the reward God has promised to him.

Dear Nancy,
Although I didn't know Lou personally, I had always heard his name in Baltimore circles. It was only today when I read about him in the Sunpapers that I realized what a genuine, warm, accomplished and loving guy he was! I send my thoughts and sympathy to you as I know he will be missed.
