Michael F. Roby

On December 21, 2023, Michael Francis Roby, passed away peacefully in Sparks, MD. Michael resided in Baltimore County for his entire life. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield in 1976 and went on to The Wharton School of Business and School of Engineering at University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1980. Along side his partner, Charles, Michael established the CPA Firm Meehan and Roby, which has been in business for over 40 years, serving countless small businesses with accounting, tax and business strategy services. Michael remained committed to Loyola Blakefield, as he served on the Board of Directors for many years and helped establish an endowed scholarship in his Family's name. He was the beloved son of the late Robert E. and Lorraine T. (nee McDonough) Roby; devoted father of Jonathan Roby (Jamie) and Jason Roby; loving grandfather of Olivia and Matthew Roby; dear brother of Mary L. Roby, Richard Roby and the late Robert Roby and John "Jack" Roby. Michael is also survived by other loving family and friends.



A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd. (Beltway Exit 26) on Friday, January 5, 2023 at 11am. Interment Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 3 2023, from 5-8pm and Thursday, January 4, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert E. and Lorraine T. Roby Endowed Scholarship at Loyola Blakefield, 500 Chestnut Ave., Towson, MD 21204.
