Nathan Flynn

Nathan Eric Flynn, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, answered his last alarm in Columbia, Maryland, on July 23, 2018. He was 34 years old. Mr. Flynn was born in Virginia Beach, VA, to Thomas Joseph Flynn and Denise Ann Rummings Flynn of Coventry, Rhode Island. He was the devoted husband of Celeste Ferguson Flynn, loving father of Alex Lloyd, Gavin Lloyd, Teagan Flynn, Connor Flynn, and Breccan Flynn. He was the grandson of Gilbert Rummings of Buffalo, NY, and the late Catherine Rummings, Richard Flynn and Mary Elizabeth Flynn, son-in-law of Leonard E. Ferguson Jr., and Vicki Ferguson, brother-in-law of Leonard E. "Fergie" Ferguson, III, and Shanemarie Ferguson. Mr. Flynn was the nephew of Susan and Dan Ragan and Steven Ferguson, and cousin of Robert and Melissa Flynn. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece. Mr. Flynn was a 13 year veteran of Howard County Fire and Rescue Services, being promoted to Lieutenant, and served on their Special Operations Team. He was also a member of the Susquehanna Hose Company, and the Harford County Tactical Rescue Team. His hobbies included boating, model trains, and renovating his home. Most of all, Mr. Flynn enjoyed being with his wife and kids. He excelled not only at his fire service but also as a husband and father. He also was an Eagle Scout. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 12-8 PM, at Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa, MD 21085. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at Mountain Christian Church.
